EnlargeSterimed® Algo sterile impregnated dressings
Sterimed ® Algo is a sterile gauze dressing impregnated with a mixture of vaseline, lanoline, liquid paraffin and extract of green microalgae. The dressing contains chlorhexidine digluconate as preservative.
Application:
Sterimed ® Algo is a primary dressing for treatment of wounds:
- burns;
- ulcers (e.g. varicose ulcers);
- decubital ulcers;
- skin transplants (donor and receptor);
- mild to moderate exudating wounds of various origin (cuts, lacerations, etc.) at risk of infection.
Mechanism of action:
Sterimed ® Algo accelerates wound healing:
- protects the wound from infection;
- maintains optimal moist environment which facilitates natural purification of the wound;
- the extract from green microalgae promotes the processes of granulation and epithelialization of the wound and has a detoxifying effect.
Sterimed ® Algo provides maximum comfort to the patient:
- allows non-traumatic removal, without causing pain and damage to newly formed tissue;
- does not irritate the skin.
