On the day of the official celebration of its 40th anniversary Medica made a donation to the ‘St.Vrach’ Hospital - Sandanski.
At 11.30 on 11th November 2011 the Executive Director of Medica Mrs. Tishkova presented the donation to the Neonatology Ward of the Hospital, which includes 12 beds for newborns and portable puls-oxymeter for controlling the vital functions of babies.
Attending the service were: Dr. Iliya Tonev, Manager of the ‘St.Vrach’ Hospital; the management of the hospital; Penka Tishkova, Executive Director of Medica AD; Metodi Angelov, Director of the plant - Sandanski; representatives of the leadership of Medica and the whole team working at the ward.
In recent years Medica has traditionally provided financial and material assistance to the ‘St.Vrach’ Hospital because health care has been a top priority of the company for 40 years. This assistance has included providing medical devices and supplies; financial support to purchase a scanner, an incubator for newborn infants, equipment for ENT consulting room. Medica has supported the hospital with workers and materials during repairs related to restructuring of individual departments and units in the hospital.
