From 14th to 17th November 2012 in Düsseldorf the 44th international trade fair for medical products and medical equipment - "MEDICA 2012", was held, where Medica AD participated. MEDICA 2012 is a leading trade fair for medical devices, medical facilities and equipment, and one of the ten major trade fairs in all the industry sectors.
For four days 4,600 exhibitors from 64 countries presented their new medical products and technical innovations. Three quarters of all the exhibitors at MEDICA 2012 were from abroad; they engaged 60 % of the exhibition area (total: 116.200 sqm). After Germany, the largest advertising spaces account for of exhibitors from Italy, China, the U.S.A., UK and France. These countries typically provide the largest number of participants in the exhibition.
"These facts and figures reflect the internationality of MEDICA 2012 and its leading role as a barometer for the activities of the global market for medical devices," said Joachim Schäfer, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf, who expressed his delight with the number of participants – it reached the record level of 2011.
