The international cardiology conference “For Better Prophylactics and Therapy of Cardiovascular Diseases in Europe” was held in the resort complex of Golden Sands from 21st to 24th of May 2009. Arbilis Publishing House was the organizer of the conference initiated by the group of epidemiologic survey EUROASPIRE III for Bulgaria, the “Academy Cardiology” Foundation and with the participation of the Society of Cardiology in Bulgaria .
Outstanding cardiologists participated as guest-lecturers from abroad in the first of its kind conference of cardiology and some of the leading experts in cardiology and metabolite disorders in our country were amongst the Bulgarian lecturers.
Within the framework of three days the Bulgarian cardiologists discussed the best methods of prevention of cardiovascular diseases in Bulgaria, and the manner in which they could achieve the expected results, with representatives of over 15 European countries (Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Finland, Cyprus, Russia, Rumania, Ireland, the Czech Republic and others).
The results of the EUROASPIRE study (implementation of recommendations for prevention in Europe) and EUROACTION (a new approach in the monitoring of sick people with cardiovascular diseases) were analysed at the conference.
A session of the European team of EUROASPIRE was also held in parallel with the conference.
Medica presented its two cardiology pharmaceuticals Amlodipine Medica and Cervedilol Medica, as well as Zerostress dietary supplement for stress treatment to more than 300 experts attending the conference.
