Medica AD reported a revenue growth of 5 % from domestic sales for the past 2010

In 2010, despite the financial crisis and tight incomes of the population, the company reported a revenue growth of 5 % from domestic sales compared to 2009, and there was an increase both in medical devices and in pharmaceutical products respectively 4 % and 11 % respectively. The revenues from domestic sales are nearly 75 % of the total revenues from sales of the company.

The trend of growth in sales of pharmaceutical products has been maitained, which is directly dependent on the consistent policy pursued by the Company on expanding its pharmaceutical portfolio and active imposition of new generic products on the market.

 

 

As a result of the updated range of medical products and the development of new products positioned in retail chains, a growth in sales of medical devices has been also reported, the increase compared to 2009 being 4 %. Manufacturing of these products is traditional for the company, grounded on its nearly 40 years of experience in producing high quality medical products of well-established brands, that have become the common name for certain product groups on Bulgarian and European markets.

In 2010 Medica AD reported excusively good financial results, achieving 53 % growth in net profit compared to 2009 due to the good management policy and prescient market behavior.
