Each tablet contains Loperamide hydrochloride 2 mg.
Indicated for treatment of:
- Administered for symptomatic treatment of acute non-specific and exacerbated chronic diarrhea
- In patients with ileostoma in order to reduce the number of defecations
Posology and method of administration:
» Adults should take initially 2 tablets, and thereafter one tablet after each unshaped defecation, however not more than 8 tablets in 24 h.
» To children aged over 12 years, not more than 4 tablets in 24 h.
» Duration of treatment, not more than 2 days.
» Administration in children aged under 12 years should be only by medical prescription.
Mechanism of action:
- Reduces intestinal hypermotility
- Reduces increased secretion
- Increases anal sphincter tone
