Each capsule of Hepcarsil Forte ® contains:
Active substance: Dry extract of the fruits of Silybum marianum 140–180 mg (Silybimariani extractum siccum 140–180 mg, equivalent to 90 mg Silymarin)
Indicated for treatment of:
Toxic liver disorders: used for supportive treatment in patients with chronic inflammatory liver diseases and liver cirrhosis.
Note: The product is not suitable for treatment of acute intoxications.
Posology and method of administration:
The daily dosage is determined by the physician depending on the disease severity and stage. The recommended treatment daily dose is 1 capsule 3 times daily and in events of serious and persisting clinical symptoms, the daily dose may be increased. The treatment duration will be determined by the general physician. For children over 12 of age the daily dose is 1 capsule. The capsules shall be swallowed whole with a sufficient quantity of liquid.
Special warnings and precautions for use:
It should not be administered in children under the age of 12 years, owing to the absence of sufficient data about effectiveness and safety in this age group. Rе-assessment of the treatment must be made if the symptoms of the patient persist or her/his state deteriorates. Treatment with this product is not a substitute for abstention in event of liver disorder (for instance from alcohol).
